On Sep 3, when NCR restaurants and cafes were celebrating the news of permission of serving alcohol in the post-COVID era, a major setback hit the food market, when the famous Murthal’s Amrik Sukhdev Dhaba was announced to be closed, as 65 employees of the eatery tested COVID-19 positive.
Set along the NH-44 highway that connects Delhi with Haryana, Punjab and beyond, the Amrik Sukhdev Dhaba in Murthal is a favourite food joint that is known for its varied range of parathas.
In a statement SL Punia, Sonipat DC, Haryana has said that as per health officials, the dhaba will be sanitized as per COVID guidelines and protocols.
As per the latest report, all the positive patients have been kept in isolation and SDM and field teams have been instructed to implement containment measures.
Also, 10 staffers of Garam Dharam in Haryana’s Murthal have tested positive for COVID-19. And, as per the latest report as many 300+ samples have been collected for testing by the government health team.
