We all become so conscious of our skin during monsoon, we do everything possible to avoid those pimples, but our hair also needs utmost care during monsoon. Because of so much humidity in the air and sweating, our hair tends to become so dry and brittle, which leads to hair loss:We got in touch with Dr Blossom Kochhar, Founder & Chairperson of the Blossom Kochhar Group of Companies who highlighted some tips one can follow to keep hair healthy during this weather:
One can make a hair mask of coconut milk. lemon juice and a few drops of lavender essential oil. This will help to treat dry and brittle hair. Apply this for 20 minutes and wash it off. You can use this pack once a week for better results.
The second mask she recommends is a great recipe for thinning hair. To make this pack, take some warm water, add a teaspoon of gelatine in it, mix it up and bring it to a boil. Once it is cool, add 2-3 drops of rosemary essential oil to it and apply this after shampooing your hair. You can also use it as a leave-on mask.
Those who are facing a lot of hair fall can apply rice water with a few drops of lavender essential oil. You can use it as the last rinse. You can also put it in a spray bottle and apply all over your hair.
For a moisturising treatment, you can make a mixture with simple ingredients at home. For that add one teaspoon of each castor oil, olive oil, vinegar, glycerine, shampoo, and conditioner. Mix it all together, apply it to your hair and then comb your hair so that it goes to each strand. Keep it on for 20 minutes and then rinse it off. You will not need a conditioner after shampooing your hair as you will feel your hair will get so smooth that no conditioner will be required.
