Snowball truffles are a quick winter treat

December is all about baking and year-end desserts. How about making something that fits right into the season? We’re talking about snowball truffles! Place them around on your festive table or just make some snowy truffles and send a box of them across to your friends and relatives. They’re easy to make and they look so pretty, that you’re sure to Instagram them, too.

Ingedients

Dark chocolate or milk chocolate – 500g

Butter (unsalted) – 60g

Heavy cream – ½ cup Desiccated coconut – 60g

Method

Break the chocolate into small pieces and keep it aside in a bowl. Melt the butter in a pan on low heat and add cream to it. Simmer and remove it from the fire. Add the chocolate to mix well. Put the mix in the fridge to allow it to chill. Once it sets, use a scooper to make small balls. Place the balls on a baking sheet and roll them into shape. Dip them into desiccated coconut and add a few finely sliced nuts for garnish. Refrigerate. It will say in an airtight container for a week.

Note:For a variation to the sweet, add cake sponge crumbs, orange essence. To make snowmen truffles, place two balls on each other and make sugarcraft eyes and mouth.
