Remember in 2017, when all our favourite cricketers from Ravindra Jadeja to Hardik Pandya, Rohit Sharma to Shikhar Dhawan participated in the Break the Beard challenge? The only one who did not participate even then was their captain Virat Kohli. His beard has had a long and public affair with all of us. When his then-girlfriend Anushka Sharma also supported his decision, we thought that the decision was final.
However, the star cricketer planned a surprise for all his fans this summer. His new lockdown look is going viral and believe it or not, the man has done it! Well, he has actually shaved a part of his beard. The new look, a stunning combination of a French beard and a Van Dyke look will be an inspiration for all the men looking to tame their beards this lockdown.
Cricketers have never shied away from upping the fashion quotient with new avatars like the #BreakTheBeard challenge, especially during IPL season. It was a fresh surprise to see Kohli being a part of the trend this year, when we know how strongly he feels about getting rid of his beard.
However, he is not the only one experimenting with his looks during the lockdown. New Zealand captain, Kane Williamson, also shaved off his beard completely and it was evident in a recent video that he posted on social media. Bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar also joined the bandwagon with a completely clean-shaven look that he revealed on his Instagram.
