Bride-to-be? Here’s what you must eat

We don’t need to tell the new-age brides-to-be to cut down on sugar and stick to clean foods. Most know that already. Here’s more valuable nutrition advice from health expert Dr Deepti Bagree…

Load up on Vitamin C

Tank up on dark-coloured fruits and vegetables for vitamin C. This helps with collagen synthesis that helps tighten skin, and also boosts your immunity which could get compromised due to all that wedding planning.

Stay active Keep yourself moving as it’s a great way to sweat out toxins, burn extra calories, tone the body, and improve digestion.

H20 all the way

Hydration is the key point among these as it’s the best and easiest way to eliminate toxins from the body that make skin dull, and it also helps with portion control.

Go for superfoods

-Vitamin C-rich fruits and vegetables like kiwis, oranges, watermelon, amla, broccoli, bell peppers, and lemon.

-Wheatgrass juice for keeping your system alkaline.

-Light protein-packed dinners along with fibre is a great way to manage your weight. Grilled chicken, fatty fish like salmon, beans, salads or soups are a must.

-Add healthy fats like soaked nuts, seeds, avocado, and cold-pressed coconut oil (internal and external application). Olive oil is also a must-have.

– Green teas like matcha or hibiscus are great to rev up your metabolism.

-Snack healthy on trail mixes, baked kale chips, fruits, roasted, unsalted peanuts, chana, herbed fox nuts, hummus, or guacamole to beat the cravings for unhealthy foods when out shopping the whole day.
